Our Father Enrique Gomez was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother & Son who will be remembered by all of his family and friends. He was born in Ameca, Jalisco, MX. He was the oldest of his siblings and leaves behind his Wife, 4 children and 8 grandchildren. He came to United States in search for a better life and with hard work and perserverance he was able to establish a beautiful life. About 12 years ago he began dialysis treament due to kidney failure. Even though he was tired from treatment, he still dedicated his life to his wife and children to make sure we had everything we needed.
On Jan 27th we received a call from his dialysis facility that he was not verbally responsive and was rushed to the hospital where a CT scan confirmed he suffered a massive stroke. He was transported to another hospital where he received a life saving procedure to remove the blood clot from his cerebral artery. Dr called us with the best news that the procedure was 100% successful and he was recoverying and progressing well. He spent a few days at the Hospital until they discharged him to a skilled nursing facility where he was expected to make better progress and return home shortly after. We last got to see him via skype on Valentines day and was preparing him to come home in just a few days.
On Feb 16 we received a call from the nursing facilty around 12:30 pm that my father was found unresponsive and had received CPR by the staff. 911 arrived and continued to give my father CPR until bringing him the hospital where further life saving attempts where made, however my father was unable to be resuscitated and was pronounced dead. After his stroke, we where blessed with a miracle that allowed us a second chance to see him and talk to him and tell him how we felt and that everything was going to be alright..
We are deeply greatful for all the prayers, love and support that we have been receiving. We are reaching out to all family and friends for any donations to help lay our Father to rest.
