Sadly, I am writing to you today about the loss of Elijah Snipes Jr. We are absolutely devastated by Eli’s passing and his family is struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the service.
As many of you already know, Elijah passed away over the holidays. Eli’s passing shocked us all and left many unanswered questions. Elijah chose to live a noble yet private and solitary life. Work was his sanctuary; he always walked in the door with a smile and story to tell. He lived alone, he had no children, and no partner…however, he looked at us as if we were his family.
His unexpected passing created a massive obstacle for Elijah’s elderly mother, Jean. Jean is 87 years old and now bears the brunt of losing her son and struggling to cover funeral costs. Because of the unexpectedness of Eli’s death, Jean has to hire an attorney to obtain records, manage the property, and pay for final services. On top of all of that, Jean has severe medical issues and will be traveling from Winston Salem, NC to Milton, Fl when the funeral services are finally arranged. (Hoping to have details on the arrangement by February 3.)
Jean has reached out to me for help, so now I am reaching out to you for your help.

Based on quotes we’ve received, here is a breakdown of all the costs involved for Eli:
- Family Funeral & Creation Service cost: $3,195.00
- Probate Attorney Retainer: $1500.00
- Travel Expenses: $300.00
