Funeral expenses for Diana Andujar
Donation protected
Just last week, Diana took this photo on her 49th birthday. By the very next day, she was rushed to the hospital, unconscious after an apparent overdose. Despite valiant attempts by hospital staff, Diana remains unresponsive and her family is now preparing for end-of-life decisions.
Diana has been through so much true hardship in life. She was fighting her way through the adversity and challenges that came with her struggles with addiction and periods of homelessness. Diana had recently completed rehabilitation, moved in to safe and stable housing, and was committed to taking advantage of all the social services programming needed to turn things around. I was Diana's court advocate for The Fortune Society, and I know how deeply she wanted to share a great update to the court, letting them know about all the positive steps she had taken. She was genuinely hopeful of what lied ahead for her; but the grasp of addiction was too strong.
Diana's sister Annette (who took this birthday photo as they met for lunch the day before the tragedy) is now left to make the decisions and bare the burdens of cost for Diana's funeral. Annette desperately wants to avoid having to choose cremation, but is struggling financially right now. Please help Annette and her family to give Diana a peaceful final resting place, so that they may all remember the best of her life.
