We are devastated to share that Dewain Haines was the victim of a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday, February 22nd. Dewain was returning home from his nightly walk when he was hit and died at the scene. Dewain Haines was a retired Louisville fire captain, a devoted deacon at West Chestnut Street Baptist Church, a coach, and a mentor. But, most importantly, he was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin. He was a light to all those who had the honor of knowing and loving him. Unfortunately, due to the suddenness of his passing, our family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral.
