Funeral Expenses for Deborah Lynn Furr
Donation protected
Deborah Lynn Furr was the most loving, compassionate, and dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. She was incredibly close with her two daughters, Shanowa and Melissa, and had an almost transcendent connection with them. Shanowa told of times when she would wake from a dead sleep to call her mother when she knew she needed to hear from her.
Deborah worshipped her grandchildren, Desiree and Andrew. She was that person who would end up hearing life stories from strangers in a grocery store. She loved animals, and spent her time caring for her plants and creatures in her yard after she developed end stages of kidney disease. She loved spooky stories, aliens, Bigfoot, all that wild stuff. She was the best storyteller in the world.
Sadly, she passed away on Friday, June 5 after putting up an incredible fight as she battled kidney disease and heart problems, and finally succumbed to complications from surgery to remove a blood clot. She is survived by her daughters, Shanowa Ross (son-in-law Peter Ross, and grandchildren Desiree and Andrew Ross) and Melissa Jones, her sisters Carol Douglas and Shauna Gunderson, and brother Ronald Gunderson. She is at peace now, but her family is mourning her terrible loss.
Unfortunately, in addition to grieving so deeply, the family is now struggling to cover the exorbitant funeral expenses (upwards of $15,000). They are extremely humble, and reluctant to ask for help, but as a friend of Shanowa, I know how much we all love and care for her, and want to help her in any way possible. I am appealing to all of her families’ friends and network to show support for the family right now. They do not have a lot of means, and so would appreciate ANY contribution of any amount, especially in lieu of flowers or other gifts.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so, and share this page with friends. On behalf of Shanowa and her family, thank you in advance for considering a contribution! They are extremely grateful for your generosity!
