Funeral Expenses for Deborah Ann Kelsey Adkins

Our mom, Deb (Deborah) Ann Adkins Kelsey passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on April 21, 2019.   My siblings and I are without words today. Her memorial service will be on Monday, April 29th from 6pm - 8pm at Ralph Meyer & Deters, 4164 Eight Street. https://www.rmdfuneralhome.com/notices/Deborah-Adkins Over the last few years of her life, our mom was surrounded by family. There was never a day since his tragic passing that she did not share memories about the love her life, Ed (Scott).  I am certain that he was waiting with open arms to embrace and comfort her as she passed from this plane onto the next.  I am just as certain that our dad, (Steve) was also standing there along side Ed, waiting to welcome and thank her for being strong when he wasn't able to be. I believe that though her life was hard and tragic at times, she has now found peace, love and light. Our mom had no resources at the end of her days. She lived with my husband and me, as well as our children. We honestly thought we had many years ahead to make plans for the end of her life. I guess in part, we never wanted to accept the reality that she was more infirm than we thought. We want to provide a small memorial service for her. She was a simple person and would never want anything extravagant. She told me several times over the last few years that the thought of being placed in a coffin and then buried in the ground for all eternity gave her extreme anxiety. Her wishes were to be cremated with a small service so that her family and friends could say goodbye.  We appreciate any monetary gift our family and friends would like to contribute to her services.
