Unfortunately, I am here to share the sad news of the unexpected death of Deaken Lile. I've known Deaken since he was a very small boy. We spent a lot of time together and it truly broke my heart to get the news of his death. His mother, Janette (known to many as Jen), has been one of my best friends for many years.

Deaken will be missed terribly. He will always be fondly remembered as a gentle soul with the heart of a giant. He gave the best hugs. He loved music, photography, Thunder Basketball, Sooner Football, travel, and history. He loved his friends and family fiercely. In his 21 years of life, he touched many people.

My wish is to help his family with the funeral and other final expenses. A parent should never have to bury a child. As a single parent, the impact of financial issues you were never prepared for can be overwhelming; adding to the immeasurable grief of losing a child. If you are able to help, it will be forever appreciated. Prayers for Deaken's family and friends are appreciated as well.
