Funeral expenses for Dawid Fedorowicz

Dear all,

On November 19th, after a long struggle with opioid use disorder, my beloved husband, Dawid Fedorowicz, left his beautiful, accident-prone body to join the angels. Dawid and I met in July 2021 when God answered our prayers and orchestrated our meeting in Greenpoint. We quickly bonded over our love for our Lord and our desire to grow closer to Him. During the year and a half that we were given together, Dawid had a total hip replacement surgery that allowed him to replace his crutches and painkillers with soccer cleats and hiking boots. Dawid enjoyed many months of sobriety, and we even entertained our dreams of having children and building a home together. However, Dawid also suffered painful relapses, after which our dependence on God only grew, and our understanding of how this awful disease undermines a person's free will deepened. As heartbreaking as it is to not have Dawid here in the flesh anymore, I take great comfort in knowing that Dawid's pass into heaven was written on his heart and that he was looking forward to seeing for himself what all the fuss is about.

As for me, his adoring wife, I want to ensure that all those who love Dawid and me have a chance to pray, grieve, and be together as we begin to make sense and peace with how God has chosen to write our story.

There will be a funeral mass at 1 pm on December 3rd at our Church, St. Stanisław Kostka's, in Greenpoint, followed by a reception directly across the street at Sparrow Funeral Home. All are welcome to join.

However, as we didn't see Dawid's death coming, it will be challenging to do any of that without financial support from our friends and family. Please give what you can, and I trust God will find some way to repay you.
