Funeral Expenses for Dave Panetta

David (Joseph Anthony) Panetta passed away on January 1st 2020. He was born and raised in Mingo junction ohio. Born in 1954, He was put up for adoption. At 22 months old he was adopted by the Panetta Family. Him and his family did everything together His parents raised him to be a good man and to think of other before himself,as a young man he went to church and did for others. So when His mom passed away at the age of 15 he always remembered His family faith so as a young child he stepped up and helped his dad untill his dad passed away. They bought burial plots for all 3 of them to be together so they could remain Together Forever . As years go by he started to have children at a young age. In 1983 his son (David J Panetta) died after only being 7 days old, and in the loving heart my Dad had used his own burial plot for his deceased child. That was a hard decision he made knowing that he might not have the final resting place, with his mom and dad but always keep them in his heart. He went on to have many more kids and some of them was adopted do to his young age, remembering how lucky he was when he found his parents. He wanted to give other children that love and care his parents gave to him. He had a very loving heart he even helped and let others call him dad who wasnt even related to him . Dave had a very good life he grew up to be an auto mechanic in the ohio valley. He worked in a steubenville auto repair shop in his mid years and then he opened his own shop. He finally got in contact with a few of his kids that were adopted and it made him the happiest person in the world. He didnt have much growing up but what he did have he cherished. He had a few older cars which he loved to go to car shows to show off his hard work. In 2003 his father (Raymond Panetta) passed away. He took it very hard but didnt let anyone see his emotions. He ended up retiring from the mechanic industry and worked a part time job at Fed-Ex. On April 20 2019 Dave had a massive stroke due to a blocked carotid artery. He ended up in Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital. The next day his brain had swelled up so bad they had to code him for emergency surgery to remove a portion of his skull to relieve some of the pressure. When he come out of surgery he had tubes down his nose and throat, monitors everywhere, many iv's, his head was half shaved with a drain tube hanging out of the side. It didnt look good. Many of us stayed there for days at a time not knowing what was going to happen. We would go in and sit with him all day. He slept for a few days. Then the doctors told us to have the family come in and say goodbye, he looks like he will be a vegetable the rest of his life, if he even wakes up. One of the kids wasnt having that, so they continued to talk to him and try to get any responses. Within the next two days he ended up waking up. He slept for a week. When he woke up he couldnt move the left side of his body but he could feel everything. The next few months he was in the hospital trying to get better. Presbyterian hospital took good care of dad. Then he came back local to Trinity rehabilitation center and that place wasnt too bad. He started to walk with help, he could control his bowels, and was able to eat by himself. He still couldnt move that left side so they had to send him elsewhere. They said the therapy sessions want going to do him anymore good. He needed more therapy than they could do for him. He ended up in Adena Altercare where his therapy was supposted to be better than anywhere in the area. He went in with no bed sores or anything on him. He didnt get the proper care he needed. He ended up with many bed sores and 2 bacterial infections. The one infection they couldnt figure out what could kill it and when they did it was already too late. Dave recently died due to an infection spreading alone. The last few month have been hard on everyone. Anything will help in our time of need.
