It is with a heavy heart that I write this. We are devastated and heartbroken by Darlene Johnson McCarty 's passing on 5/10/2020.
She was such a kind-hearted and caring soul. She went above and beyond for not only the people she loved but also for strangers that crossed her path. She worked for Texas Oncology as a scheduler for 20+ years. She cared so much for every patient that came in. She always took a personal interest in the patients she worked with by celebrating their victories and mourning their passing with their families as they had to say goodbye. Darlene is even showing us in her passing, just how much she cared for others. She decided years ago that she would donate every organ she could if it meant she could save a life. I was truly blessed to know her and even more blessed to have her as a second mom and role model. She was childhood friends of my Mom's and also the mother of my lifelong best friend Crystal.
Crystal, a mother of three, was already struggling with the effects of the COVID Pandemic and is now devasted with the passing of her mother. I want to do what I can in helping her pay for the funeral expenses and medical bills. She has so much on her plate right now as it is with everything going on and the funeral expenses are just too much for them to bear on their own.
Please consider donating if you can do so. All donations will go towards funeral expenses and the medical bills from her hospital stay in the ICU.
