My name is Raeann Pulliam. This is my mom Daphne Ann Hunter. She sadly passed away on July 6, 2023, after a long five-year battle with cancer. To say that our lives are devastated would be an understatement. My mom was the most amazing woman I've ever known. She was my biggest cheerleader and my best friend. She was the best mom, mother-in-law- and grandma, that anyone could ask for.

My mom was first diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer on May 7, 2018. The next day, on May 8, 2018, my older brother passed away. Our family was hit with two tragedies in less than 24 hours. My mom was determined to fight and beat cancer and chose to do everything that she could do to prolong her life. She was hopeful and most of all prayed. She knew that on the day that the Lord call her home, that is when she would finish the race. Sadly, for her family left to mourn, her loss that day, was July 6, 2023, at 8:15 a.m.

My mom was vivacious, 82 years old, hip, and funny. She would do anything for anybody. She always included everybody and everything she never wanted anybody to feel left out. She was kind, loving. As she was loved. She is deeply missed by her family and especially me since I spent time with her daily. The impact this has left on my life has been tragic. I have not only lost my mother but, also my best friend.
