Daniel Hawkins has been my best friend for the last ten years. For those of you who didn’t know him, he was one of the nicest and most down-to-earth people you could ever come across. He always could make you laugh or smile and would cross oceans to help you out if you were in trouble. On July 31st, 2023, Daniel tragically passed away. Not only did I lose my best friend, but I lost my best man, my brother, and my rock. His mother lost her son, and our community lost a friend. Daniel was an Eagle Scout with Troop 111 in Lincoln and a Civil Air Patrol Cadet with the McLean County Composite Squadron. He always dreamed of being a Marine and a Police Officer and loved to help people every chance that he got. The funds we gain will all be sent to his mother to help cover the cost of the funeral and any other expenses. Please give if you can. Every dollar helps.
