Funeral expenses for Christopher Mayberry
Donation protected
September 12, 2020 my only son, Chris Mayberry, was killed in a car crash. Chris was born with a very rare disease fibro dysplasia ossificans progressive (FOP), or better known as stone man disease. Every doctor/specialist that i took my son to set limitations on his health and life expectancy. At age five Chris lost range of motion in his upper extremities. His arms were locked into place due to falling (being a boy) so many times combined with the adverse reactions of FOP. I was told that my son would not live to see 21 years of age by multiple doctors/specialist. They gave him a specially built motorized wheelchair, but he cried that he didn't want it. He would not be immobilized. He was determined that he could do anything anyone else could, and he did just that. He would not let anyone put limits on who or what he could do or be. He ran, rode bikes, played basketball, learned to dress with a broom stick, he cooked, and cleaned, he taught kids how cook dress, clean, and ride bikes. He was always so generous, and made sure that every child that he encountered had the necessities. Chris always beat the odds, but on September 12. 2020 the odds were against him. The senseless act of an enraged driver that ran a stop sign because he was angry at his girlfriend consumed my Son's life. He fought hard to stay here, but ultimately lost the battle. My sweet son did not have insurance because I became disabled and could no longer work to be able to afford it for him or myself. I had a stroke and complete renal failure so i was unable to keep up our insurance payments. I would greatly appreciate any help that I can get to help pay for his funeral expenses. I also have a cash app if you'd prefer to use that $slimmayberry58, or you could send it directly to Humphreys County Funeral Home.. Thank you in advance for any help you are able to give.
