This past Sunday, September 12, 2021, my best friend, Jessica called me with the most shocking, unexpected and earth shattering news. Her oldest brother, Chris was just in the most horrific motorcycle accident I’d ever heard of. His girlfriend, Kaysie of 9 years and their 7 year old daughter, Kayslyn, were following him on their way home to watch the first Broncos game of the season. Right before their eyes and in one split second… everything changed forever.

Chris was 44 years old and about to celebrate his 45th birthday on October 2nd. He had a total of 4 siblings growing up and when the family lost the youngest, Angie, to cancer in 2010; I watched as this Angel Family continued to show love, compassion and warmth despite the emptiness that would be there until one day reunited with dear Angie.

Now Brad and Rebecca have lost their first and oldest son; Mike and Jessica their oldest sibling and Kaysie and Kayslyn are without their rock. Broken in pieces…

Between shock and unimaginable heartbreak the Robeys’ want nothing more than to honor Chris with the service this great son, brother, father, boyfriend and friend deserves. But arrangements are nearly impossible to make at this point due to outrageous costs and unexpected tragedy. I feel within the depths of my soul that there are enough resources out there to essentially GIFT this family with the funds to cover costs for his final farewell.
