Funeral Expenses for Cecilia Davis Smith

After a long illness, my beloved mother Cecilia Davis Smith passed away on New Year's Eve night. She was the beloved and cherished wife of my Dad, Wayne Smith and a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and neighbor. She was also an unofficial foster mother to many throughout the years. She was a Godly woman whose generous and loving spirit touched everyone around her. She was a constant blessing to others.

Due to a paperwork error on the part of my Dad's former employer, her life insurance was cancelled. Although my father worked diligently to rectify this situation, sadly, he ran out of time. As a result, we are left with no funds to pay for a funeral service for my mother.

We are asking for donations to help us pay for her funeral expenses. For a basic funeral with burial and the purchase of a cemetary plot, the funeral home gave us an estimate of $15,000.
