Funeral Expenses for April Curry (Lauer)

April Curry passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
She left a brother, Tracy, incapacitated with his own health issues and a mother, Joan M. Lauer. And funeral arrangements to take care of.
She was a former employee of mine, with her own problems, but from my viewpoint, did her job extremely well.  I remember her fondly as an outgoing, funny, big-hearted and hard-working lady who was always positive and had a get-it-done attitude.  She recently worked as  Comptroller for Century 21 Core Partners on East Market Street, York.  In her personal life, she did not have much; no children and, recently no husband, no significant other. She loved animals and left her loyal friend and companion, Thor, her Cane Corso.
Yet, like most of us, as time went on, she became a better friend, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Now, her mother, Joan, has to do what parents are not supposed to do: bury their children.  She is even more alone than before: her only daughter is gone and is left with the funeral for which she must find the money and the strength to manage.
Now we are asking all who knew of her to give what they can to help with the arrangements for the funeral.
If you can assist at the funeral, your help would be welcome.  At this time, a donation would be appreciated by the family.  Though April worked her entire life, she, like most of us, was not prepared for a major expense.
Neither is her mother, Joan.  She is retired and hoping that those who knew April, whose lives April affected and those who cared about her, can donate.
Any help will be appreciated: $5 to $100, anything will be a lifesaver to this mother who with her daughter-in-law, Lorraine, will plan all the details.  All money raised will be donated to Joan to help with expenses. The bill from the funeral home will run about $13,000!

The funeral will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021, at the William E. Little Funeral Home, 2150 Carlisle Road, York, PA 17408, with visitation at 1:00 pm and the service at 2:00 pm.
