This is Mia Sweat (Thrasher). The total cost of my father’s expenses have been around $9,000, but I am just asking for whatever help I can get. Boy do I feel strange writing this, but here I am. The past few days have felt like a terrible dream. On Tuesday evening I found out my father unexpectedly passed away at age 55. It always hurts when you lose somebody you love. Man, I’ve even hurt over people I’ve never met. Losing a parent is no exception. With the pain, comes the part where you have to push your grief aside and think realistically about the next steps. How do you financially cover an unexpected funeral? Not only was my daddy’s death a shock, but so was the fact that he did not have a plan in place. My father did not have any life insurance, health insurance, nor any savings. I am very, very thankful for my wonderful husband, his father, my mother, and every friend/family member who has reached out so far and helped. I love you all. I understand there are many things going on in the world right now, and I am not the only one hurting. However, I am asking that if (and only if) you can spare any help with my father’s funeral expenses, I would be so very grateful. Thank you.
