Hello,
It is with great sadness that I share with you all the courage and bravery of my brother Alfonso AKA (Gordo). My brother has taught me the real meaning of courage. In 1999 he was diagnosed with diabetes and at the age of 39 he lost  vision in both eyes and had a stroke. Even though life got very rough for him he lived life to the fullest. In 2013, he was diagnosed with Kidney failure and began Dialysis treatments three times a week. His health began to deteriorate slowly with blood transfusions to intubations. Two weeks ago my brother was diagnosed with Lung cancer and three days later I was informed that it had spread to his spine and chest at this point my brother was recommended to be placed on hospice. I had a hard time letting him go! Because my brother and I had fought a lot of battles together. However, I spoke with him and told him I would support any decision he made. I explained to him that there was no chemotherapy option for him and that the cancer would be very painful. He asked me to be strong and said he wanted to go home. I told him I didn't have everything he needed in order for him to survive and he said it was ok that he wanted to go home and that he was not ready to give up. I brought my brother home as he wanted and it was so amazing how brave he was taking all the pain just to be with his family. My brother passed away on February 15th at 11:30pm. On this day I lost my brother/bestfriend/and hero. I am asking for your support to help pay for the funeral expenses so I can finally lay my brother to rest in peace.
