Funeral Expenses for Alex Kvasnytsky

D. D. Eisenhower once said: "There is no tragedy in life like the death of a child."
What a poignant reality that sadly hit very close to home for my dearest friend Vira! The joy of her heart and her life - her only son Alex - has passed away unexpectedly this week, from Covid complications. Sheer words cannot express the grief his many loved ones are experiencing as they are struggling to come to terms with this heartbreaking reality. Alex was the most attentive son and grandson, loving and caring boyfriend, and the most respectful and dependable coworker. Having himself gone through the rehabilitation program a few years ago, he fully understood others who struggled with addictions and has worked as a mentor at the rehab center this past year. His genuine smile and friendly approach made his presence and company always enjoyable. I vividly remember always feeling at ease when Alex was around. Especially this past year, he doted on his mother (Vira) and his beloved girlfriend Michelle, as he clearly cherished life and the blessings he was granted! He was excelling at work and made plans to propose to Michelle before his 25th birthday this year. Oh and how he loved his grandparents, absolutely a rarity for a young man nowadays to have such close relationships with his grandparents! The loss they are feeling right now is beyond expression!
What makes this even more tragic for Vira is that at the end of the summer of last year, Alex's dad, Vira's ex-husband, has passed away just as unexpectedly from Covid complications, and the whole family was still in the process of dealing with this loss, and Alex was making plans to visit his dad's grave back in his birth country of Ukraine. Obviously, God had other plans.
Alex's sudden passing has left Vira and her grandparents struggling in several ways as they attempt to find footing emotionally and now also financially. Please keep them in your prayers as only God is able to provide peace and comfort they desperately need at this time. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." (2 Cor. 1:3-4) As you remember being comforted in your times of need, please consider helping Vira as she will inevitably run into the unforeseen expenses of preparing Alex's funeral. Your donation will greatly alleviate her financial worries and demonstrate God's loving, caring hand when she needs it most! May God bless you.
