Final words from the family
“I’d like to take a moment to expressed our sincere gratitude. It’s been hard to find the right words to express our gratitude. While as a family we are still struggling with Aidan’s passing, grieving and at a lost most days. My heart is broken and will never be the same. Aidan was an amazing child, an old soul beyond his years. He taught me more than just how to be a mom. He touch so many life’s. A true blessing from the moment he was born. The most perfect child a parent could ask for. Taken far too soon. Those who knew Aidan were blessed and influenced by him. The stories that have been shared of him, we will carry with us forever. Thank you! There are not enough words to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, support and prayers our family has received. From the go fund me, meal train, donations, prayers, thoughts and supporting us in so many different ways. While we grieve and heal, we are lifted up by the support and love of our family, friends and community. Aidan will forever live on in our thoughts, actions, heart and soul. Going forward I ask for kindness. It was so important to him. To treat everyone as they deserve, with the respect and love they are entitled to. Life is to short and we are never guaranteed any amount of time here. We think we have time but time is fleeting. Live each day with love.”

For anyone that knows him, he was the smartest, sweetest, kindest, most compassionate kid who had a fierce love for his family, friends, and learning. We have been blessed to have him in our lives. We will always miss him.
We wanted to take this time to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support that we have received. Everyone’s messages, kind words, prayers, gofundme donations and meal train contributions have meant the world to us at this extremely difficult time.
We are beyond grateful for every one of you. We are beyond thankful for all of you. We are touched by all the memories and photos everyone has shared of Aidan. You touched his life as much as he touched yours.

Melissa and David Gillespie experienced the worst fear any parent could experience the unexpected loss of their oldest son Aidan David Gillespie.

Aidan David Gillespie was 13 years old. Aidan attended Aux Sable middle school in Plainfield, IL. He was the proud older brother of Logan, Killian and Payton. Aidan loved science and math. He was a huge fan of dungeons and dragons and played the saxophone.

This campaign has been put together to help Melissa and David cover the expenses of Adian's Funeral services and burial. Any donations are very much appreciated.
