As some of you know, I am a very private person, but I wanted to write this and support my youngest brother's sons - Landen and Gavin Diep. Landen and Gavin's dad, our beloved youngest brother, Vu Diep, passed away today.

Vu was the victim of a tragic shooting earlier this year. While we thought he would recover, he went into cardiac arrest while in the hospital. The doctors and nurses were able to revive him after twenty long agonizing minutes. However, after many months in the hospital, Vu succumbed to his injuries on this tragic day.

My family is heartbroken by the loss of our brother. I am more heartbroken for my nephews for the loss of their father. They are only in their mid-20s and will never be able to see their dad again because of such violence in this world.

Vu was a wonderful brother and father who touched the lives of those around him. He was truly special in that he touched the lives of every single person he crossed paths with.
