Funeral expenses for 10 year old Natiyah Williams

My name is Melinda Morris. As some of you may know, I became a Senior Claims Specialist almost two years ago. Part of this new position is teaching new hires how to do our job. Since this position is temp to hire, it can take almost a year to actually be hired. Covering your spouse or children under the temp's medical insurance is quite costly and most cannot afford it especially since the hourly payment wage is significantly lower than when you become permanent.

I have been blessed by meeting many new people from not only other countries but individuals from different states as well as here in Texas. It is extremely difficult NOT to get involved in their personal lives but I make it a point to be personable to each and every one of them. This helps the new hires not only build confidence but it also builds a trust. Then, there are times when friendships develop over time.

I just found out today that one of our new hires tragically lost her 10 year old, Natiyah Williams, in a horric motor vehicle accident. Typing those words alone puts a lump in my throat. Natiyah was riding a battery powered car on September 18th and a possible distracted driver made Natiyah an instant angel. Just hearing Mom recount the horrors of that day simply broke my heart. NO mother should ever have to find the means to bury their precious baby. The temp service does not have a bereavement policy therefore, Mom is not only having to manage the millions of things that need to be done to lay her daughter to rest, she is still working her regular shifts as money will be needed for regular month to month bills and the additional cost of an unplanned/unimaginable funeral.

I hereby attest that I am creating this account solely for the family's benefit. I have in no way been asked by Mom or family member to set up an account on their behalf. We are tasked with simply doing what our hearts tell us we NEED to do. Mom is VERY prideful and would never ask for help. However, there is a funeral expense of $11,000 of which $8505 is due by Thursday, 09/28/23.

Can you please find it your heart to give ANY amount to help with this unthinkable task? Even if you are not able to give, please please PLEASE pray for this precious East Texas family that is truly living their worst nightmare.

I might not be able to raise one single dime but there is no way that I can possibly just sit back and watch, all the while doing nothing.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
