Funeral Expenses and Support for the Yang Family
Donation protected
On December 17, 2020 Yia Her and her six children tragically lost their beloved husband and father, Shoua Yang, to COVID-19. Yia is a custodian at Don Riggio School in Stockton, California. The Don Riggio staff is coming together to ask for support for this valued member of our Don Riggio Dolphin Family. Donations from this gofundme will aid Yia and her children with funeral expenses.
In Yia’s own words:
“My beloved husband Shoua Yang recently passed on December 17th, 2020 at the age of 42. He had preexisting health difficulties and knew he needed to leave the workforce during the pandemic to avoid catching COVID-19. Unfortunately, the virus still found its way in and quickly took his life. He was a wonderful husband who was happily married for 20 years, father to six beautiful children whom he loved dearly, grandpa to three grandbabies, a brother who has been a guardian to his younger siblings for two decades, an uncle, a nephew and a loyal friend who touched the lives of all those around him.
As if my husband’s passing wasn’t difficult enough, I caught the virus at the same time and battled it with difficulties, too. I was out of work and quarantined houses away from all of my children. The kids and I had no Christmas together, as I was fighting to survive. We are all still trying to grasp the reality that Daddy is really gone. I am slowly regaining my strength and coming to sense that I am now a widow left to cover funeral expenses and raise my kids alone.
I just reunited with my children and am trying to be strong to piece together our shattered dreams and uncertain future. Please consider donating as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time. Thank you so much for your consideration.”
