Justice for Veteran Dad found in storage unit AZ

Hi, our names are Christina Maleski and Michael Jones . On January 21, 2023 Our father, Harold Jones a decorated Marine Corporal and Vietnam veteran, who suffered from dementia, ptsd, and multiple health related issues was found deceased and concealed in a storage unit in Payson Arizona. The person(s) responsible for his disappearance and concealing his death forged POA papers and removed him from a facility that we had him in for physical rehab over a year ago. We have been trying for over a YEAR to find him and these people. With every single contact authorities had with this couple they would state he was fine . We made MULTIPLE calls to APS and The local Police in Payson and anyone who would listen ! These people alienated him from all contact with family and friends and used his monthly military disability payments for their own use . He received in excess of $5000 a month from the Veterans Administration from his service connected disability from Vietnam . He was “living” in the couples home that was not authorized by Myself the POA and MPOA or Michael and they done so by forgery of MPOA and POA . They abused him, denied him medical care and did not allow any contact with family and God knows what else . After multiple exhausting attempts to have someone throughly investigate his whereabouts, condition of him physically , medically and emotionally and to take me seriously that something was wrong and the “papers” the couple would show authorities were not legal . I filed a missing persons report and I still was not taken seriously. It took almost 3 weeks to be initiated after multiple calls to the local police station in Payson Arizona begging them to do so . Only AFTER I called the Gila County District Attorneys office asking for help was it finally initiated ! The police department made contact with the couple who tried to lie to investigators of his whereabouts and produced a fake note stating he was out of Town. Then made a fake call to investigators trying to claim it was him and he wasn’t “missing and was alive and well”. Clearly he was not . In the end the couple told the police where they could find his body. That’s when I got the call that he was found deceased and placed in a storage unit for an unknown amount of time . I was offered an apology … In the past Month we have endured a lot of financial responsibilities. This couple continued to steal his monthly payments for their own use . They choose not to pay on his life insurance policy and it went into default . Now, we do not have any policy to help offset this financial burden. We have a long road ahead of us financially with trials, lawyers , travel expenses to and from Arizona and funeral etc. So many government departments failed us and him . Ending in his death . We as his biological children are humbly asking for any financial donations to help us with expenses, for funeral expenses, travel expenses (as this happened in Arizona we live in Ohio and Pa ) Expenses for a lawyer(s).expenses for us to be present at trials. We cannot let these people get away without seeing us present at the trials. The couple known as Elain and Dwight George of Payson Arizona have been indicted with multiple charges . Abuse of a vulnerable adult , forgery , schemes , theft , concealment of a dead body and ongoing charges they are currently in jail . A press release was made from the Payson police department and we will add it to the comments if we can . However, All of this is public information and is on the Payson police department Facebook page and Gila county courts . Please help us assist in our fight for justice for our Dad !!
