I want to give back to someone who has always been there for me. Monae has been through a lot the past few years.  Any one who knows her can tell you how big her heart is. She has been through so much, and still has a heart big and full of love and charity. She is always helping people less fortunate, and continues to hold her head high and her heart open despite all she has been though. 

Over the past few years she has been solely responsibly for paying for 3 very unexpected funerals, the living expenses of her aunt and grandmother(until her death a year ago), the cost associated with closing her estate, and taking over full time care of her disabled aunt, (Laurie) In total over the last 11 months alone she and her husband, Matt, have spent over 13,000 out of pocket, and now an unexpected 5,500 due in December and another 1,900 in January. All of this was done without any benefits from life insurance or saving accounts. Monae and Matt have been constantly trying to take care of family and provide for themselves. Its now got to the point were they are unable to come up with the rest to finish paying off the funeral expenses. When talking with them I found out, they thought they had another 12 months to finish paying things off. Unfortunately, they do not. After loosing a sister, a mother, and a grandmother ( all during the holidays) they don't have much family left. WE are their family, and I am proud to have them in my life. Monae and Matt have such BIG HEARTS, I want to give back to them this year. 

Every little bit helps! I know its the holidays and its always a busy time.  I feel that is the time of year when we all need love and  also have the most love in our hearts.  Year after year, we raise money to help others. This year I want to help two people who have not only opened their home to me in the past, but have opened their hearts to everyone. I want to help lift this burden.  Lets give them a holiday season with a little less burden and a lot more love!
