Funeral Expense for my Dear Sister

I’m Lisa, and have set up this GoFundMe to raise funds for my sister’s memorial service and funeral. My beautiful and kind sister Dina passed away suddenly on February 13, and our family is shocked, devastated and saddened beyond words. As her only sister, we shared a bond like no other. I will miss her terribly, and I am so very heart broken. Although she had physical and other challenges from a massive stroke 18 years ago, she never complained and brought me and this world so much light with a cheerful attitude seeking to comfort others rather than be comforted. She was funny, witty, thoughtful, spiritual, and tender-hearted. Her smile and laugh was contagious and just being around her would brighten the moment. She loved her only son so much, she was the biggest Elvis fan and was the sweetest aunt to our little nephew. Dina was a wonderful daughter, extending herself and gave household help to our elderly mother although she was physically challenged and only had use of her right hand (a result of the stroke from many years ago).

We were not prepared for this tragic loss - mentally, emotionally and financially. My sister lived very simply with a limited income although she would give you her last $5. Her spirit will live on in me and our family but life will never be the same without her on earth. We know that Heaven has gained an Angel and she is with our father.

I will cherish all our times together including recently when we had a beautiful heart-to-heart conversation. She was going through a difficult time but during most of our conversation, she was cheering me on telling me to pursue my dreams.
