This GoFundMe is set up for our coworker and friend Maggie Carilis, with her permission, after the unexpected and tragic passing of her loving son Claudel.

 

Claudel was a loving and devoted son to his mother Maggie and to his brother Anderson. He was a true friend to many and would give the shirt off his back to help you if needed help. Claudel was also very popular with the ladies. Per his mother, he was an “international” ladies’ man.  

 

Claudel was also a go-getter. He owned his own towing business and was a supervisor at JFK Airport for their snow removal contract. Claudel was someone who had a strong work ethic and a propensity for making things happen. He was not afraid to work for and go after what he wanted. He clearly got this attribute from his hard-working mother.

 

Claudel passed unexpectedly on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 4:30am. The Carilis family and friends are deeply saddened by this loss. As I ask for privacy and room to grieve for Maggie’s son, I have also been receiving so many messages from friends that are asking how they can help. This GoFundMe is to help with funeral arrangements and any financial burdens the Carilis family may endure. This is a way to help for those of you that would like to contribute but do not know how. We appreciate your love and generosity as we try to continue to support this family who has endured such a tragic loss.
