Funeral Expense and Medical Bills in Haiti
The Celine family sadly lost their beloved father and Pop-Pop in Haiti yesterday. Edusse Celine was the most patient, kind-hearted man. He never complained about anything. He loved his 4 kids and 9 grandkids so well and would do anything for them. He spent a few weeks last summer in Pennsylvania with Payis and Juanita and their family. They were also planning on coming here for Christmas this year. Him and his wife lived in St. Martien but had been in Haiti the last few weeks to be with his children and to try to figure out his medical issues. He had a minor toothache a few weeks ago (which he got fixed at the dentist) but it kept getting worse. The doctors weren’t sure what was causing it. He was hospitalized on Monday for shortness of breath. They are still not sure exactly what he passed away from but are realizing it was possibly a tumor in his mouth/throat. They are doing an autopsy to figure out more. The political state of Haiti is very unsettled and dangerous right now. Food is scarce and fuel is over $15 a gallon. They will need to freeze the body for a few days and to do that they need to have a generator and gas. If you wanna support this family and help cover the funeral cost, medical bills, and food- we would be so grateful. An unexpected tragedy like this is so hard and having to worry about the money and ways to pay for it just adds so much stress. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ♥️
