funeral donations for Darrell Childers

We are devastated to share such unexpected news that this morning Saturday the 17th my step dad Darrell Childers “Rookie” was murdered In cold blood by his “best friends”. He was shot 6 times & was pronounced dead at the scene. We will know more soon and will be giving updates where this leads. This tragedy is taking a toll on our family and especially my mother Cheryl Davis, who had also lost her dad a month prior.

Darrell & Cheryl had been together 13 years. He came into my life when i was 7 and has been a father figure to me. Between teaching me to drive a stick shift, to hauling me to rodeos all over. as many of you know me and rookie had a love hate relationship, because we are both so strong willed. But when i needed anything he was always there and ready to help me. And a sense of humor that could light up a room. His famous saying was “I’m not here for a long time, i'm here for a good time”

The case is under investigation and we will not stop until justice is served for him! Detectives/ personal investigator may need to be involved as that will be an expense. i cannot say enough about how every person that has met him can vouch for his kind & bright heart. As of now we will be planning a funeral for Darrell, any & all donations will be appreciated. Or any information to put his killers where they belong!
