Alexis lucho mucho contra su enfermedad neurologica mas de 3 años con vistas tras visitas al hospital. Su partida es muy difícil para nosotros. Era y sera siempre nuestro pequeño guerrero. Les pedimos de favor que nos ayuden con algo para sus gastos del funeral.
Neurodegeneracion asociada a la protenia Beta-propeller (BPAN). Segun sus antecedentes, Alexis tuvo una secuenciacion de exoma que revelo una mutacion de novo en el gen WDR45, esto causa una acumulación de hiero en el cerebro. Esta condición se llama Neurologica Asociada a la proteina Beta-propeller (BPAN). En los varones se presenta una atrofia cerebral con encefalopatia epileptica. Estas condiciones pueden, generalmente causar disfunción neurologica de progresion lenta ademas de una distonia progresiva, pero no son condiciones mortales. Aún así, es posible que Alexis continúe desarrollando mayor rigidez, espasticidad y distonia. Aparte de esto, su condición medica es delicada y la duracion do su vida posiblemente se vera marcadmente reducida, segun las enfermedades que adquiera y los riesgos inherentes a la discapacidad severa, su estado no amblutatorio y disfuncion deglutoria.
