We have crunched all of our numbers and drawn in funds from everywhere. We’re closing in the gap - this last push will help us reach the finish line.

We want her to rest and truly begin our family’s healing.

It is with deep sadness and extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Grandmother, Anne Harris.

To say she was a light in our lives would be too small of a word. She was a rock, a beacon of life and laughter. We are a direct product of her energy and will love her forever and ever and ever - this life and the next.

She fought. She did everything her body possibly could to stay with us, but it was time for us to let each other go. She deserves the greatest rest.

She loved being here, with her family and in California, where sunshine and love were never short.

It is at this time that my family needs support from our friends, family, and community. A donation or a share of this will help ease just the slightest of pains.

June 26, 2023: to the person reading this, I don’t know what your stance is on miracles or God, but something happened that has left not only my family, but the team at St. Joe’s, baffled.

Last night, as we posted this GoFundMe - my family gathered around our unresponsive matriarch for a final prayer. We said our goodbyes and held her hand as we prayed and honored her life.

The next step is comfort care. Almost every aspect is a machine, and as we began to prep for shut down operation, she woke up.

For a few valuable moments she communicated to us that she wants more time. We know the ending to this, and we have slowly prepared in our own ways. I started to mourn her days ago when I realized that things will never be the same. But by some grace, be it God or some other divine or miraculous intetrvention, she woke up and has asked for time.

As a family, we have decided to honor that final wish. We are still asking for donations to close the $10K gap we have in burial costs.

This is almost unbelievable but my family appreciates everyone’s outpour of love and support through not only what is a difficult time, but a confusing, draining and crazy one.

Hi, my name is Abby and I am currently fundraising for the funeral costs to bury my grandmother.

My grandmother was born in May of 1938 in Lowell, MA, and has been changing lives for all 85 years she blessed this Earth. She was a strong, independent, Greek New Englander, who loved her family dearly. Like most of our grandmothers, keeping us clean, fed, and entertained since we were children was a sense of joy for her. No task was too grand, and no act of kindness was too small. She was such an extraordinary person, and the absence of her presence in our family has left an indescribable hole. There is so much to say about her and I could go on and on, but no words could match her character.

Funeral and burial costs can be extremely overwhelming for families during this time, and any help in closing our gap is greatly appreciated. She is survived by my mom, Christine, who learned resilience and strength from her. She is also survived by my eldest sister, Angie, and our middle sister, Amber, and myself.

My grandmother has left an indelible mark on our lives. I will never forget the silly songs she would sing to us, her always reminding me to double check my homework, endless grammar and bible quizzes, or the Thanksgiving meals she would cook (by herself) nearly every year. There are so many memories and not enough words to say them, but I am glad to have been blessed with her in my life.
