We are saddened to say that Fathi Gelle, our wonderful sister, friend, mentor and founder of SomalidaAduunka, has passed away. She was one of the best and most kindhearted people, who always had a smile on her face and was full of life and laughter. Nobody met her that wasn't her friend a little while later and she was always quick to help people in any way she could.
Fathi will be missed by many, especially her family and friends, her coworkers, the youth she mentored and all the people she helped and all the lives she changed for the better as a social worker, youth counselor, and as a friend. Fathi, you will be missed greatly and we pray that you are granted the highest of heavens. May Allah widen your grave, forgive your sins, and give your family sabr and iman.

The proceeds of this GoFundMe will be used to help Fathi's family with funeral and travel costs.
