It is with a heavy heart that we make a humble plea to family, friends, and the community to help raise funds for the funeral expenses for our beloved Celina.

Celina was a wonderful mother to her daughter Sherlyn (5 years old) and her son Matias (3 years old). She loved those kids more than anything in this world and tried her best to give them a beautiful life. She worked hard to make ends meet and to make sure her kids had food on the table everyday.

Celina lived in constant fear for her and her children’s lives. Her husband/abuser kept her and their children isolated from their family and friends. He made sure he had complete control over her in her daily life. He constantly threatened to kill their kids if she ever left him. Cops were constantly called to the residence but her husband would always flee before they arrived and no real consequences were ever placed on him. For 6 years, Celina suffered domestic abuse only to lead to her death.

On Monday, May 9th, cops arrived to her home where they pronounced her dead at the scene. Her husband tried to lie and say that the wounds were self inflicted but cops later determined that was false. Celina suffered significant injuries to her face and a puncture wound above the left eyebrow which lead to her death. Her two beautiful innocent children were present during the entire ordeal and witnessed their mother take her last breath.

As a mother, I cannot fathom what those kids went through but we are at peace knowing that Celina will no longer suffer from the abuse she quietly endured for so many years. At this time, our family would like to ask for any donations for her funeral costs as well as funds for the children. We will also be making two separate Trust Funds for Sherlyn & Matias. No amount of money will ever bring their mother back but we want to help secure a future for them.
