Funeral costs for Veronica
Veronica Rachel La Madrid
06/21/1991 - 01/09/21
Veronica is the definition of an Angel on Earth.
There is an endless list of things I can say about her, but it will never fully capture the beautiful spirit she carried.
Autism was something she never let define her-she was very high functioning. She always shined bright and brought positive light to wherever she went.
She had a great love for family, friends, Disney, Zumba, making lists, & completing tasks.
Veronica loved anything & everything Disney. She memorized characters, phrases, songs & knows them like the back of her hand. She excelled in Disney Trivia & Song.
Veronica also remembered every important date, birthday, anniversary. Don’t remember? Ask Voika.
(‘Voika’ has been a nickname she carried within the family. As a little girl, I couldn’t say “Veronica” so ‘Voika’ stuck around her whole life).
She had always expressed her genuine love & concern for those around her. She always cared.
Veronica knew how to cook and follow recipes from scratch- she found a new love for the air fryer.
If she did not know the answer, she would look it up- She was very smart and knew how to navigate for the answer.
She was so loving & thoughtful- she didn’t spend much money but she always had you in her thoughts. If it was your birthday or if Christmas was coming up, she would hand write a letter to send to you-near or far- & maybe include a couple dollars of what she can afford.
She would ask my other sister to drive her to the 99cent store so she can give you something she know you would use. She would buy little gadgets and give them out to you knowing it would make your life a little easier.
Veronica is the best helper. If you need help, she will help you the best way she can. Since she hasn’t been working due to the pandemic, she kept busy around the house making lists and completing tasks. We rarely had to ask more than once. If she knew she was doing the task to help everyone, she’d do it.
She had also took it upon herself to make fresh squeezed orange juice for everyone in the family so for 1, the oranges from our orange tree don’t go bad & 2, she provided everyone with ‘great vitamin C’.
She always made sure the family was taken care of & that we don’t run out of anything- Voika LOVES making lists. If we start running low on something, Voika added it to a list to make sure our mom would get it during the next shopping trip.
If we were short a few dollars, Voika never hesitated to dig into her coin purse to give us what we needed.
She loved her faith and loved church. When able, she would take public transportation to the church down the street to attend mass & pray. Recently due to the pandemic, she would announce to the whole family that she would block out a time from 5PM-6:30PM every Saturday evening & to not be disturbed so she can tune into youtube and watch the live stream mass. She loves God.
She was very passionate about working at the Regional Traning Center. She enjoyed the people she worked with and always looked forward to theme days where she was able to dress up with her fellow coworkers.
Wherever she went, Veronica would always wave hi to you and make sure you’re acknowledged and loved.
She loved puzzles & activity books- word search especially. She would finish an activity book so fast! If she can’t figure it out…she would jokingly confess saying she peeked at the back of the book for help. She hates being dishonest.
This is only the very few things that describe this Beautiful Angel.
May you Rest in Peace & Paradise full of Disney Magic my Beautiful Sweet Sister. I will miss you so much & will forever ever ever ever Love you.
Love for eternity, Ate Glorianne.
