Funeral Costs for Tidjani Camara

Donation protected
On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, the world lost a great man. Tidjani "TJ" Camara was someone who could motivate and inspire everyone around him to reach their highest potential. He taught others to strive for greatness simply by the way he lived. TJ overcame life's hardship and achieved success against all odds.

TJ came to the United States from Senegal in 2002 to attend college. TJ had little money and big dreams. He stayed with a family friend and worked when he wasn’t at school. He walked to work and school until he could afford a bicycle, he rode a bicycle until he could afford a car, and eventually was able to buy a car and rent an apartment. Once he had achieved stability, he brought his sister over from Senegal to pursue her education. He often said he didn't like to ask others for help. TJ felt he was capable of doing it all on his own. TJ believed in the American Dream, and he was willing to work hard to achieve that dream. TJ often didn’t understand how people got bogged down with minor obstacles, because he could always see past the obstacles life presented, which was a true gift. TJ said that when he was a kid he told his friends in Senegal about his dream to make it in America and they laughed and told him it was impossible. He said he wanted to prove to them that it was possible so they would stop limiting their beliefs.

TJ held a Master’s Degree in Science and Kinesiology as well as many other certifications. He never stopped learning and growing to become the best trainer and person he could be. TJ eventually accomplished his biggest dream by opening his own gym, Massive Action Training, because he believed we should all take massive action in our lives. He was living his true passion for helping others improve their lives and getting the results they wanted.

His other great love was animals. TJ was a dog whisperer. He had three beautiful dogs (Kobe, Jayda, and Leo), and they were his children. He also was a regular volunteer of the SPCA of East Texas.

TJ had a heart of gold and a smile that lit up the room, and the world was simply a better place with him around. He made his mark on many hearts and has left us all inspired by his memory. He is SO loved and will be missed by many.

Through planning a funeral for TJ it was realized he did not have a life insurance policy to help cover costs. We are asking the community to help us raise the funds to pay for a funeral and burial for TJ. Any funds raised that are left over after the service has been paid will be given to his parents in Senegal. His sister Khady Harmon is in charge of the funds and ensuring that they get to the funeral home and the family.

As plans are made for the funeral we will announce them here. We thank you for any contribution as every little bit helps!

All our love,
