Erick Quetzal Perez called to heaven to soon

We have started this account to ease the financial burden for Wagner and Rebecca Perez to put their beloved precious baby boy, Erick Quetzal Perez, to rest.

Our lovable little angel Erick spent his short life bringing joy to everyone around him, especially his parents, big sister Anaya, grandparents Carmen Guerrero-Cuevas & Jose Cuevas, Leticia Perez & Omar Galdamez, and extended family.

Erick was blossoming at six years old, enjoying the 1st grade. He was a sweet boy who loved making people laugh, theme park rides, soccer, school, and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite snacks were soup, ritz crackers, chocolate chip cookies, and ice cream.

This past weekend on the way home from a trip with his family, Erick fell into a deep sleep and stopped breathing. Paramedics arrived quickly and revived him before he was airlifted to Stanford’s Children’s hospital. Tragically these efforts were to no avail, as the doctors passed on devastating news. Little Erick's brain had no activity. Against our prayers and wishes, follow-up tests confirmed the initial diagnosis. We take solace in that Erick inadvertently spent his last days in the quintessence of life, enjoying it to the fullest. He wore his Power Rangers costume and paraded around the mall before Halloween night, went to universal studios with his mother, father, and big sister, went on rides, and laughed how a 6-year-old without a care in the world should.

Through the family’s devastation and grief, may they focus on the riches Erick’s beautiful spirit brought to this world and rejoice in the blessing of his life and the memory of his infectious smile.
