Funeral costs for Robert Tomazzolli

This fundraiser is to cover the funeral expenses and cremation of a beloved father.  My father, Robert Tomazzolli, worked tirelessly until the age of 73 to provide for his family.  Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond his control, he was never able to set aside any savings, nor was he able to afford premiums for life insurance and the like.  He lived paycheck to paycheck, always ensuring that I had a roof over my head and that we were fed before ever considering spending a dime of his money on himself. 

In November of 2019, he was diagnosed with stage IV Lung cancer.  It had already spread to his bones and brain.  At the age of 77, he committed himself to try and fight this cancer battle, a battle a man half his age would have a tough time fighting.  Unfortunately, the radiation treatments would prove to weaken him too much, and he is succumbing to the cancer at the time of this writing. 

We made a decision with him, as a family, to make sure he is comfortable. 

I'm his son, Anthony Tomazzolli, and I am raising this now knowing that I don't have much time left with my father.  His love for me has taught me to become the man that I am, and all I wish is to be able to honor his memory properly.  Unfortunately, with the meteoric rise of funeral costs, even a simple service and cremation are well beyond what I'm able to afford. 

This money will go to the funeral and cremation services so that our family can say farewell to my father one last time.  Please help me in raising money for not only a man who worked his entire life, but for a man who spent his life caring for those around him, for serving the city of New York for twenty one years as an officer of the law, and for a man who inspired such kindness and laughter in the people around him.  He is and will forever be my hero.
