As all of you may have heard, my dad, David passed away peacefully at 12:30am on the 2nd of May. His passing marked the end of a brutal cancer journey in which he fought until the very end. As much as this void we feel is heartbreaking and will be for the rest of our lives, we find some peace knowing that he’s finally at rest and no longer in pain from the awful disease he was diagnosed with back in January 2024. You were the most devoted husband to mum, Rebecca and the most amazing father to Luke, Harry and I

,you did everything to make us smile even when you felt so poorly. That was your character, bubbly and that will live on in all of us.

But life doesn’t give you time to grieve as we now have to move on to planning dad’s funeral. This next week my mum has lots of things to manage and one of these that she should never have to worry about is funeral costs. She wants this day to be a day where we celebrate dad and give him the best send off possible, one which he deserves but one thing is lingering over this planning and restricting her ideas. Money.
