On March 8, 2017, our beloved Misty passed away from a long, hard battle of kidney disease. There is always financial strain that comes with any tragedy. Unfortunately, Misty didn't have insurance & now we are asking for your help!

Her story:
When Misty was expecting her first child, the doctors realized her kidneys were weak. She was on & off Prednisone to help get her kidneys stronger; it helped for a while but eventually needed to be on dialysis. In 2009, Cynthia found out she was a perfect match & didn't hesitate to donate her kidney. As years passed, that kidney got weaker & weaker as her body was fighting against it & her anti-rejection meds weren't working as they once did. She eventually had to get back on dialysis. She was able to do peritoneal dialysis at home so she could live a somewhat normal life. Misty was waiting to get back on the transplant list but unbeknownst to us, Misty was sicker than she let on to be. Why? Because she was a warrior. She always had a smile on her face & was always taking selfies when hooked up to dialysis machines (when she had to do hemodialysis)!
