Funeral Costs for Michael Thompson

Hi there I'm Heather Mathis, it is with a humble heart that I make this post.

On Thursday March 16th my grandfather made the difficult decision to move to hospice care and end all the medical intervention to prolong his life. He truly hoped to make it to one last Easter. Unfortunately, without medical intervention he did deteriorate quickly. He passed peacefully in his sleep this morning, March 18th. The VA is helping with most funeral costs. However, the cremation fees are not covered under this and amount to almost $2,000. I am asking for help to pay for this for my family and for my grandpa to give him the respectful service he deserves.

Any amount can help but we are trying to raise the money by the end of the week so we can get his cremation taking care of as they need payment up front.
