Funeral Costs for Mary Barton
Donation protected
Mary Lee Barton, co-founder of Hartville Chocolate Factory, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, shortly before 4am. As she took her last breath, she opened her eyes and looked intently at her husband, Bob, who was right by her side. She then closed her eyes, and a single tear rolled down her cheek. Love. Such love. Oh, how we've been blessed.
Mary and her husband, Bob, spent over half their life together serving the Hartville community. She loved her community well and will be greatly missed. Everyone who has known Mary Lee has known her kindness, generosity, and selfless love.
That being said, Bob and Mary didn't have much in the way of savings. They invested every nickel, every minute, and every ounce of energy they had into the business that they loved. They often did not take a paycheck. The smiles on the faces of customers were payment enough. We are humbly asking for your help as we seek to honor her memory. We are asking for monetary contributions to help cover funeral costs.
Whether or not you can share financially, we would love for you to share your stories, photos and memories with us. Tell us about your school field trip to the Hartville Chocolate Factory, or when your t-ball team got ice cream after the big game. Send us a photo from Evening in the Village, or maybe one of the Homecoming parades. Tell us about how you knew Mary Lee from Kenmore High School or from Sunday School at Akron Springfield Assembly of God. Your stories and memories are precious to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Much Love,
