Funeral Costs For Marlet Reyes

The night of August 29th, Marlet Reyes and Thelma Llovido were involved in a tragic car accident in La Verne, CA at 8:50pm. The best friends were driving out of their neighborhood on their way to church as they normally do when a sports car was fleeing away from police on White Ave and struck their car. Marlet’s daughter Gabie Reyes had just left her mother and Thelma’s home from picking up her boys, Jessie 6, and Isaak 3, who were under Marlets care while Gabie was at work, which she just started 2 days ago. All injured victims were rushed to the nearest hospital. Within the next few hours Marlet and Thelma were in critical condition. Marlet suffered blood loss, internal bleeding and heart failure which lead to an unfortunate death while they were wheeling her to surgery. Doctors did everything they could for nearly an hour but had to make the call. Thelma suffers from brain injury, internal bleeding in body and brain, a broken pelvis, broken neck with 2 dislocated disks and bruises all over her body. At the moment we do not know if Thelma will make it and all friends and family from both sides are deeply saddened with the unbearable pain of not knowing whats going to happen next. Both women were heavily involved in the church community and helping Gabie with her boys. Marlet and Thelma were the most giving people who were always there for others but now they are in need for others to be there for them and her daughter Gabie. These 3 women are never the ones to ask for ANYTHING but deserve the world. Marlet being a single mother to Gabie for several years and Thelma who never had children and treated Jessie and Isaak as her own, leaves Gabie with lost hope. These women mean the world to her and having to lose possibly both within days is heartbreaking. We kindly ask for anyone to give any donation to help with funeral costs and medical bills. We the friends of Reyes and Llovido & family want to thank the first responders, nurses, doctors, surgeons and the hospitals security for all their help. Please keep family in thoughts and prayers.
