The wildfires that have swept through the West Coast in the past month have been devastating and have touched many lives. I am greatly saddened to share that my dear friend Jenna lost her father, Mark H De La Gardie(61), this past week, to the Bear fire in Butte County.  Mark was residing at his brother's residence in Berry Creek when the fire destroyed the entire property. He is survived by his two children, Martin Hulquest De La Gardie and Jennifer Marie Frans nee De La Gardie, and two siblings, Terry Martin De La Gardie and Renee Marie De La Gardie.  While Jenna, her husband Russel, and son Owen struggle with the shock of this news, I am stepping in to help with organizing. Funeral plans are still being arranged, and with the suddenness of his death, funds will be needed to help with additional cremation costs, travel costs for the family, and any other unexpected financial burdens related to Mark's passing.
