Hi, my name is Nikki and I have been sharing my life with Justin Shorten since 2012. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly on Saturday 6th April leaving myself, his sister, and his many friends devastated.

We are now organising his funeral and a memorial gathering in Margate to celebrate his life. Unfortunately, Justin was very poorly in the last few years and unable to work and therefore has left no savings that we might put towards his send-off.

We would really like to honour Justin in the way that he deserves and so are asking friends and family who are able to, to contribute towards the funeral.

Justin was not a materialistic person and our hope is to create a simple service that reflects his unique character with a reception that honours his life.

At this time, we are not sure what the costs would be and therefore what to set the target as. However, anything that helps towards paying the essential costs is appreciated. Anything over that will cover reception hire and if possible catering etc.

Should donations exceed funds required, all excess will be donated to a mental health charity (exact one to be confirmed).
