In Memory of Jose Melendez Jr.

On July 31, 2020, we learned the tragic passing of our son, brother and dear friend Jose Melendez Jr.
Jose was a successful aerospace engineer working for both Virgin Galactic and Virgin Orbit. Anything that had to do with the expanse that exists beyond this Earth and between celestial bodies, he was all for! He took pride in his involvement with space exploration.
He continued to take courses relevant to his career to further advance in it, but an unfortunate car accident would cut his life short. Despite such thing, his belief and faith in the Lord no one could ever take. That night, our mother welcomed him with open arms.
This is just a speck of who Jr. really was. His involvement with youth ministry and worship leading would also transcend throughout and impact many young lives. He was a loving and caring human being. He was full of life, and would always try to put a smile on one's face. He was a big dreamer.
All we have left are the great memories we made together that we will cherish forever. Fly high, Jr! Until we meet again, tell us all about space!
