Funeral Costs For FO76 Streamer Gamer: Redefined
FALLOUT 76 HAS LOST ONE OF ITS OWN AND HIS FAMILY NEEDS HELP
The Fallout 76 community is so much larger today than it once was. In the early days if you were watching a Twitch stream Greg (Gamer:Redefined/GregRedined) would be in stream and on screen laughing or bringing his joy and energy to the chats of countless streamers.
Around 9:30am today, July 20th he collapsed in his home and was heard by his roommates. Unable to bring him to, Greg was gone as suddenly as that. With no warning or health indicators and the doctors announced it as a “widowmaker”…nothing could’ve been done.
This news has devastated the community, his friends, family and those closest to him. This GoFundMe is being established to help his cousin cover the cost of funeral expenses with any overage of funds being donated in his name to the Trevor Project, a cause he deeply believed in having experienced prejudice and hatred in his youth.
Greg was the first person to bring a “hell yeah let’s do it” to any community initiative. In the Wasteland HOA, he served as an agent on stream, and later again bringing a variety of talent to the United Wastelanders Network. His energy for life and passion for music made him a feature in Fallout 76’s virtual community SOMO. Dedicated to charity work, he streamed and supported the Fallout For Hope initiatives for St. Jude and disaster relief in Austin, Texas. He helped organize a campaign for the American Heart Association with Fallopalooza, an in-game music festival where he headlined with his friends and fellow musicians.
As shocking and unexpected this death is, it was ironic that minutes before his heart attack he re-shared a quote on his Facebook that best represented how he viewed this community and his friends in Fallout.
“One of the biggest lies ever told is, blood makes you family. No blood makes you related; loyalty, love and trust makes you family.”
He looked on Fallout 76 as his family as much as his own flesh and blood.
In his own words:
“This has been your boy Greg Redefined…to the incredible chat of people. I just love you guys so much. This is why I do this.”
His family will mourn him, and we hope you will remember him.
Because we will never forget him.
