Amelie Belle Hernandez was born on December 6, 2010. She came into this world a little warrior and fought through 6 months of NICU care after being born prematurely at 31 weeks and with several health complications. Growing up, she did not let any of her medical struggles and dependencies stop her as she faced life with resilience and fortitude.  She loved playing with (and teasing) her big brother, drawing, playing video games, and eating as many sugar cookies and Hostess cupcakes as possible! Amelie was a happy little girl who loved hard. On the morning of May 2, 2022, she earned her angel wings. Though she is no longer with us on this Earth, we know that her spirit will continue to be a shining bright light, watching and guiding all who knew her.

Due to the unexpected nature of her passing, any donations will be used to help her family cover funeral costs.

 

She is survived by her mother, Linda Delgado; her older brother, Sebastian Hernandez; her grandparents, Jose Delgado, Delmi Delgado, Bob Hernandez, and Brenda Hernandez; her uncles, Jose Delgado Jr. and Francisco Delgado; her aunts, Lauren Delgado and Alison Dingrando; and her cousins, Sophie Delgado and Ethan Delgado.

 

She was greeted in heaven by her father, Logan Hernandez.
