Funeral Costs for Aaron Kane

Donation protected
My oldest nephew, Aaron Kane, died suddenly on Sunday, August 18th, 2019 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania from cardiac arrest. Those of us who knew and loved Aaron are grief-stricken. While this Go Fund Me campaign is being launched to help defray funeral and burial costs for Aaron, the most urgent appeal I want to make is for your prayers on behalf of Aaron’s mother Patty, his son Travis, his brother Ryan, his sisters Jessica and Stephanie, and his grandmother Patricia.

My nephew was born on May 16, 1984, one day before my Birthday. I used to joke with Aaron that he stole the spotlight from me. That was fine with me because I was proud to have a nephew. When Aaron was a young boy, I enjoyed taking him on trips to Teterboro Airport to watch airplanes take-off and land. I also took him to the Turtleback Zoo and to Sunday School and church. In 1989, Aaron was the ring-bearer at my wedding.

Aaron was bright, intelligent, and compassionate. He also was willing to come to the help of others. On more than one occasion, Aaron administered live-saving aid to individuals in critical condition. He did not hesitate to give of himself. Like all of us, Aaron had his struggles but those struggles never diminished the love he had for his family and his bright smile.

While losing a child under any circumstance is tragic, my sister Patty has the additional burden of having to pay for Aaron’s funeral and burial expenses. Aaron did not have any insurance or financial assets to cover these costs. Unfortunately, Patty does not have the resources to absorb these expenses. While family members are going to do what they can, it is with soberness and humility that I am extending the opportunity for others to assist my sister during this very difficult time. My sister would like for Aaron to be brought back to his home state of New Jersey and laid to rest in his hometown of Kearny.

If you can give, thank you. If you will pray, thank you. Both are very much appreciated.
