Donation protected
No mother should ever EVER have to lay her child to rest … but Kristi Monson, an accomplished stuntwoman and Le PeTiT CiRqUe’s coach/head of admin, is painfully faced with this unimaginable task, after one of her twins sons, Gavin, age 17 suffered a tragic , tragic accident.

it is not my story to tell, but my heart bleeds for her, as mounting funeral costs were completely unexpected obviously.
Read below , to understand what happened….

…. Please, give what you can to help a mom bury her child.

Here is Kristi’s message ;

As it's still too hard for me to talk with anyone, I'll explain in writing. He somehow got ahold of a small gun (police are currently investigating how). All evidence suggests he thought it was not loaded (no bullets were near by, no magazine in the gun, etc).

He would often do artistic flare movement type gun and knife tricks - with fake knives and fake airsoft guns as a hobby. Sadly, he must've thought he could do so with a real gun - thinking it wasn't loaded; but apparently 1 bullet was in the chamber(even with no magazine in the gun).

The initial police report labeled it "suicide," but SEVERAL pieces of newer evidence shows it was the most tragic of accidents.

All humans - especially teens - make bad choices and mistakes. I just don't want my son to be remembered for his. The rumor that spread is that it was suicide - which honestly isn't any better.

That's why - when I can bring myself to respond to texts and emails - I reply that it was a tragic accident. That's the honest truth, and is really all they need to know.

But what I hope is more remembered is what an incredible person he was to everyone he met - students, teachers, strangers, family members, kids who were bullied, younger half-siblings, etc. He spoke to adults like the adult he seemed to be - in a teenage body. He was legendary throughout his high school. Everyone knew who he was, and knew great stories about him - even if they'd never met him. He was an honor student, with smart wit, and a willingness to listen, and help whoever needed it - without hesitation - with wisdom beyond his years. He made me laugh uncontrollably - especially when I really needed it.

I don't know how to do life without him. But for his surviving - and equally amazing - twin (Alex), I need to try...
