Funeral costs Audencio and Kristie Rodriguez

Audencio (Lencho) Rodriguez (38) and Kristie Fields- Rodriguez (42) met back in 2019, when they both started working together at Southwest Airlines. Everyone around them could see the sparks right away; they fell in love hard and they fell in love fast. Kristie was immediately drawn to Lencho’s kind, soft heart and Lencho loved the way Kristie was always unapologetically herself. Kristie welcomed Lencho’s children into her life with open arms, and Lencho immediately did the same. Kristie always spoke about how Lencho was such a wonderful father to her children, and how he helped keep her grounded. The two of them would laugh endlessly, as they created memories with their loved ones that would last forever. They knew right away that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and one year later, they were married.

Two years later, Lencho and Kristie decided they wanted to get out of the city for some fresh air to celebrate their upcoming wedding anniversary. They planned a week- long camping trip up to Turquoise Lake for their getaway, a hidden gem of a campsite located near Leadville, CO. They had everything they could possibly need: plenty of delicious food, two tents (one for lounging and entertainment, one for sleeping), and a nice air mattress to share between the two of them. A few nights after arriving, the evening got cold, so they snuggled up together in their tent with a small space heater to help keep them warm. Tragically the next morning, Kristie and Lencho never woke up.

Anyone that knew Audencio would tell you about how his smile could light up a room. He was raised to always be polite, kind, and to help wherever help was needed. He always wanted his children to feel that they could come to him with anything, and always pushed them to be the best they could be. Kristie was everyone's mom, whether she knew you or not. She loved her children unconditionally and not only supported, but encouraged their individuality. She took in the “strays'' and gave them a place to call home. Lencho leaves behind four beautiful children, Jacob (19), Danae (17), and twin boys Theodore and Aiden (10), while Kristie leaves behind four of her own; Taylor (24), Carson (22), Hanna (19), and Aiden (16). They were also beyond thrilled to soon be welcoming their first grandbaby, Nova Marie Rodriguez, into the world.

Their friends and families find comfort in knowing that Lencho and Kristie will never have to spend one day without each other. They spent their last night together in the beautiful Rocky Mountains that they both loved so much, under the stars and in each other's arms.
We wish to give both Lencho and Kristie the memorial service they deserve to honor their memories and say our last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help with these unexpected end of life expenses and to offer financial support for their children left behind. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
